High Protein Diet May Inhibit Conception

Women on the Atkins diet, or a low-carbohydrate/high-protein diet, may have a lower chance of conceiving than those women who follow a regular diet. As well, the mice that did conceive on a high-protein diet, had a higher rate of difficulty with their embryos in the early stages of development.
