Life Begins...

Miscarriage stories of loss, hope & help. It's always devastating to experience a loss. It can cause you to feel alone, isolated. There's no 'right' way to feel - a range of reactions are possible & normal. In addition to the grief you may feel, your body will be undergoing some profound hormonal adjustments, which may make you feel very emotionally volatile. If you have had a miscarriage, take the time to understand better why these occur & why it is not your fault.

Infants remembered in bereavement walk

Nestled on the outskirts of downtown San Angelo lies a rose garden dedicated to the memory of infants. It will be the final stop in the White Rose Bereavement Group's "Walk to Remember" today.

Stephanie Collins suffered the loss of her daughter Leyla seven years ago and said the group and the walk have helped tremendously in dealing with her daughter's passing.

"I don't know where I would have been without White Rose," Collins said. "I didn't have any friends who had gone through this. And the group was very welcoming. We shared our feelings and cried."

The group
The White Rose Bereavement Group meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Shannon Wellness Center's Ray Delilah Harper Meeting Room.
In December, the group holds a candlelight ceremony on the first Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Baby's Rose Garden.
