A study has shown a diabetics sperm is of poorer quality

Wives and girlfriends of diabetic men may be more likely to miscarry, research suggests.

A study has shown that diabetics' sperm is of poorer quality than that of other men.

It is feared this could make it harder for their partners to get pregnant and make the more likely to miscarry.

With rates of both forms of diabetes rising sharply, more and more young men may be denied the chance of fatherhood.
