SYDNEY: Fisher & Paykel, Harvey Norman and the Bonnie Babes Foundation are delighted with the success of the Purchase for Research promotion in March which raised $60,000 for vital medical research into miscarriage, premature and still birth.
The Wiggles also lent their support to the promotion during which 10 per cent from the purchase of any Fisher & Paykel appliance from Harvey Norman stores was donated to the Bonnie Babes Foundation.
“We were very happy with the results of this promotion, which yielded increased sales and awareness of Fisher & Paykel as well as raising money for this important research.” said Jeff Canham, general manager sales, Fisher & Paykel Appliances.
“Fisher & Paykel was the only appliance brand to participate in the initiative which will help so many Australian families.”
“The promotion was well supported by Harvey Norman through catalogue and point of sale support in store” said Canham.
“We are very grateful to Fisher & Paykel and Harvey Norman for their contribution to Bonnie Babes through this promotion”, said Bonnie Babes founder Rachel Stanfield-Porter.
One in four pregnancies ends in a loss and the reasons for this are poorly understood. The Bonnie Babes Foundation is a non-profit organisation that not only raises funds for research products but also provides grief counseling services to affected families

Miscarriage stories of loss, hope and help. It's always devastating to experience a loss. It can cause you to feel alone, isolated. There's no 'right' way to feel - a range of reactions are possible and normal. In addition to the grief you may feel, your body will be undergoing some profound hormonal adjustments, which may make you feel very emotionally volatile. If you have had a miscarriage, take the time to understand better why these occur and why it is not your fault.
